The Oregon Coast is a land of wide, sandy beaches, rugged headlands, eroded sea stacks, teeming tide pools, and some of the most famous marine views in the country. If you are a photographer looking for spectacular seascapes with steep cliffs dropping into churning surf on rocky beaches, the the Oregon Coast is the place you should visit. Bring a macro lens for the incredibly diverse marine and plant life, a telephoto for the sea birds, whales, and sea lions, and the lighthouses. Be sure to also bring a wide-angle for the magnificent seascapes.
We'll meet in Portland, Ore., and then depart for the Coast. During the tour, we will work our way down the coast, photographing lighthouses, seabirds, rugged cliffs, and small seaside towns. With luck, we may spot some whales. The places we will visit have fabulous names like Cape Falcon, Cape Foulweather, Cape Lookout, Heceta, and Yaquina.
We will stay each night at a local motel in one of the many charming seaside towns. The first night will be spent in either Seaside or Cannon Beach, followed by Cape Kiwanda, Florence, and back to Lincoln City. On the final day, we will return to Portland.

You don’t need to be an expert photographer to participate; film, digital, interchangeable lens camera, or cell phone cameras are all welcome.
Companions and spouses may also attend. They can hang out on the beach while we search for our best photographs.
