The Dordogne, Languedoc & Provence

Ten fantastic days of fine wine, gourmet food, and oh yeah, photography. We will meet the first night in Paris then travel by train to the town of Limoges. From Limoges we will travel by van to photograph the village of Sarlat-de-Canéda and its famous outdoor market. We will practice street and landscape photograph in the less traveled Languedoc, dividing our time between large cities such as Toulouse, and towns and villages such as Beynac, Mirepoix, and Limoux. We may even spend an afternoon in Carcassone, a year-round medieval theme park.

Halfway through our travels we will shift to Provence where we will visit and photograph Arles, Villeneuve Les Avignons, La Sainte Victoire (where Cézanne made many of his famous paintings), and the Monastère de Ganagobie. Time permitting we will visit the Châtauneuf de Pape winery, arguably one of the finest wines in France. Our tenth and last day will find us in Avignon where we will hop on the train for our return to Paris where we will share a final meal and evening together.

Published author, Donna Conrad, will also accompany us. Donna has done extensive research in the Languedoc/Provence region for her new series of novels, "The Magdalene Chronicle." She will share off-the-beaten-track locations and local flavor with us.
